Keysight Announces eCall Test Solution to Accelerate Time-to-Market
Published2017.03.28 11:35Keysight Korea announced the E6950A eCall conformance test solution. It simulates a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), emulates a cellular network using Keysight's wireless test set and RF signal generator, and provides Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) coordinates, which are required for an in-vehicle system (IVS) to have the minimum data set.
The E6950A eCall conformance test solution verifies the IVS modem's ability to trigger emergency calls, accurately transmit MSDs, and establish voice connections with PSAPs. It also provides developers with the option to perform audio analysis. This test solution supports existing wireless test sets, such as the Keysight E7515A and E5515C, and existing E5515C users can leverage their existing equipment by adding only the necessary options.
“Under EU law, all cars in the EU must support eCall by April 2018, and Russia’s ERA-GLONASS was mandated by January 2017,” said Siegfrod Gross, general manager of Keysight’s automotive and energy solutions. “Keysight’s new eCall solution can help automotive industry developers shorten their time to market while simultaneously improving their ability to deliver high-quality products.”

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers.
