ASUS Distributes UEFI BIOS Supporting Intel Optane Memory

ASUS is distributing the latest UEFI BIOS that supports Intel Optane Memory technology. The UEFI BIOS distributed by ASUS officially supports Intel Optane Memory and is designed to be immediately applicable to all ASUS 200 series motherboards.
Intel's latest Optane memory technology is a 3D XPoint non-volatile memory technology developed by Intel and Micron that provides enhanced system performance and computational processing speeds. Previously, when developing Optane memory for PCs, Intel proposed the concept of a high-speed cache added to HDDs. As a result, the strategy is to reduce system boot times and file loading times by combining and integrating with HDDs, allowing users to experience both the capacity of an HDD and the speed of an SSD simultaneously.
The key feature of the new UEFI BIOS is its ability to reliably configure Intel Optane memory-related applications, and users can update it using the ASUS UEFI BIOS update tool.
To update, connect the motherboard to the power supply, insert the USB drive containing the BIOS file, and press the BIOS Flashback button or the Rest button. This allows you to update to the latest UEFI BIOS using ASUS USB BIOS Flashback technology. Firmware upgrades using the EZ Flash 3 tool are also possible. EZ Flash 3 technology allows you to install the BIOS by downloading and installing the UEFI BIOS from the internet, as long as you are connected to a network.
"We are pleased to release the industry's first BIOS supporting Intel Optane Memory," said Lee Sang-hoon, a manager at ASUS Korea. "We hope that the latest BIOS update will help improve the PC performance of ASUS 200 motherboard users."
Meanwhile, users of ASUS Intel 200 series motherboards can download the UEFI BIOS starting March 28, and information regarding the BIOS and various technical support can be checked on the official ASUS website ( www.asus.com ).

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
