Samsung Electronics, All QLED TV Products Receive Premium UHD Certification

The UHD Alliance is composed of approximately 50 member companies including TV manufacturers, Hollywood film studios, and content distribution companies. It grants premium UHD certification to products that pass analysis of core performance metrics that consumers evaluate (UHD resolution, HDR, peak brightness, and wide color gamut, etc.). It evaluates not only TVs but also the performance of UHD Blu-ray players and content such as movies and dramas.
Samsung QLED TV has been verified for 100% color volume by VDE, a world-renowned standards certification body in Germany. Distortion that occurs due to screen brightness or position is minimized, delivering high picture quality.
Kim Moon-soo, Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, stated, "This premium UHD certification demonstrates Samsung Electronics' commitment to providing users with the best viewing experience," and added, "It will serve as a standard to help consumers in their purchasing decisions."
