This project involves moving Honda's R&D division from physical workstations to a new vehicle design platform with enhanced mobility and efficiency, and will utilize NVIDIA Grid and Tesla M60-based graphics-accelerated desktop virtualization infrastructure.

Honda's desktop virtualization deployment supports seamless and continuous access to the latest vehicle development data for thousands of employees across R&D offices and factories in Japan and the United States.

Graphics-accelerated desktop virtualization has enabled Honda to achieve its technological prowess and flexibility. Through centralized data within the data center, users can receive only pixels, thereby securely protecting Honda's intellectual property rights.

Examples of how Honda and various global manufacturing companies have implemented graphics-accelerated virtualization using NVIDIA GLID across their operations will be unveiled at the graphics virtualization session of the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC), which will be held in San Jose, San Francisco, USA, on May 8 (local time).
