Digi-Key Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, announced that it has established a partnership with Marktech Optoelectronics to provide specially designed and optimized custom photodetectors.

These custom sensors can be manufactured from all Marktech product lines, including silicon photovoltaic or photoconductive photodiodes, avalanche photodiodes, phototransistors, or InGaAs PIN photodiodes. Custom device packaging recommended by Marktech can also be ordered according to customer specifications or for customer applications.

Mark Campito, CEO of Marktech Optoelectronics, stated, "Marktech specializes in the design, testing, and manufacturing of custom sensors, emitters, and assemblies. Through our partnership with Digi-Key, we are now able to reach a broad range of designers who may not have been aware that these services are available," he said.

Now circuit designers can simply fill out a form on digikey.kr or on the Marktech Optoelectronics custom detector webpage to more quickly and easily obtain devices optimized for their applications and mechanical designs.

David Stein, Vice President of Global Semiconductor Division at Digi-Key, stated, "As applications for photodetectors become increasingly diverse and complex, customers face the need to design components with stringent specifications. Design engineers who now have the option to purchase Marktech's custom sensors through Digi-Key will be able to more easily accelerate their product development cycles," he said.
