Western Digital Unveils 10TB External Drive Using USB-C

Western Digital announced the launch of the G-DRIVE USB-C, a new external drive from the G-Technology brand that is optimized for content creation environments such as photos and videos.
The G-Drive USB-C is an external desktop drive with up to 10TB of capacity, featuring a USB-C connector and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface that supports next-generation Mac and Windows systems, maximizing transfer speeds. Optimized for ample storage space and fast speeds for creating content like HD video, photos, and music, it's particularly useful for content creators and professionals who work with large amounts of multimedia.
The G-Drive USB-C features a sleek aluminum enclosure with heat dissipation, maintaining optimal performance and temperature. It also conveniently charges external devices like the latest MacBook or MacBook Pro via the USB-C port, delivering up to 45W of power without a separate charger.
Mac users in particular will appreciate the plug-and-play functionality of the G-Drive USB-C, allowing them to use it immediately upon connecting to their system without any additional drivers. You can also safely protect your data by utilizing the full functionality of Apple Time Machine backup software. Additionally, it is compatible with Windows-based PCs in a simple format.
In addition to the product itself, the G-Drive USB-C also comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable. Compatible interfaces include Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0.

Western Digital to Test Produce 512Gb 64-Layer 3D NAND
