Keysight Korea Successfully Concludes 'Keysight Measurement Forum 2017'
Published2017.04.26 00:03The theme of this year's KMF, marking its 20th anniversary, was 'Unlocking Measurement Insight for Connected World'. It was an event where attendees could directly experience trends, technology sessions, and solution demonstrations in the fields of wireless communication evolving into 5G, IoT, and the automotive sector.
Yoon Deok-kwon, CEO of Keysight Korea, delivered a welcoming address, stating, "We recently acquired IXIA, a company specializing in IP network solutions," and added, "Keysight's provision of measurement solutions is shifting towards a software-centric approach to create a better environment."
The keynote speech was delivered by Lee Jong-sik, Senior Vice President of KT Infrastructure Research Institute, who explained the overview, strategy, and vision of the 5G pilot services to be showcased at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The subsequent technical sessions consisted of a total of 18, divided into wireless communications, the Internet of Things, and automotive. The bonus sessions covered the topics of "Introductory Oscilloscope Hands-on Training" and "Equipment Failure Countermeasures and Connector Management."

운전 중 사고가 났다면, 119에 연락한다. 운전 중 사고 장면을 목격해도, 119에 연락한다. 당연한 수순이다. 연락한 후에는 어떨까. “서울에서 동해로 넘어가는 15번 도로 3차선에서 3중 추돌사고가 난 SUV차량입니다.”라고 정확히 신고하는 사람이 몇이나 있을까. 유럽 위원회가 2018년 4월부터 모든 신차에 비상 호출(eCall) 모듈을 장착해야 한다는 규정을 발표한 배경은 여기에서 비롯했다. ‘eCall’은 사고 발생 시 차량 유형, 시간, 위치, 방향을 비롯한 데이터를 운전자가 직접 또는 차량 스스로 전송하는 호출 방식이다. 이는 커넥티드 카의 핵심이라 불리는 텔레매틱스 기술의 일환이다. 키사이트 코리아의 장승택 부장에게 텔레매틱스 기술과 그 테스트 기술에 대한 이야기를 들었다. Q. 자율주행차가 현실화되면서 생명과 직결된 안전의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. V2V 및 V2X와 같이 차량 통신에 적용되는 통신 기술이 다양한데. A. 현재 상황에서 적용범위를 생각하면 V2I는 셀룰러 기술이, V2V는 기술 안전성과 테스트 스펙 준비 여부 그리고 레이턴시 때문에 WAVE 기술이 적합하다고 한다. 그래서 셀룰러와 WAVE, 두 통신의 장점을 적절히 활용해야 한다. Q. 짧은 지연시간, 높은 신뢰도, 빠른 데이터 속도의 차세대 통신으로 기대되는 5G가 도입되면상황이 또 달라질 것 같다. 그만큼 테스트도 쉽지 않을 것 같은데. A. 5G 기술의 여러 특징들이 모두 충족 된다면 기존 WAVE 혹은 셀룰러 기술들을 모두 대체 할 수 있을 것으로 보인다, 하지만 5G 특징 중 하나인 mmWave 에서 광대역 bandwidth 를 사용하는 기술을 예로 들면, 5G는 빠른 데이터를 넒은 고속도로로 보내는 것과 같다. 때문에 높은 mmWave 대역의 주파수를 사용한다. 측정도 기존 케이블보다는 안테나를 이용한 방사 테스트로 진행한다. 이 때문에 정확한 mmWave 테스트과 안테나 기술에 대한 이해가 중요하다.
