Samsung Pay supported on Gear S3 smartwatch starting the 2nd

Samsung Pay has expanded to 12 countries, including India. There have been continued voices of disappointment among Gear users regarding the fact that the Samsung Pay feature, which has been consistently supported on models since the Galaxy S6, was not introduced to the Gear. Compatibility issues were mentioned, such as "security concerns" or "different operating systems," but there were also reports that it was due to consultations with partner credit card companies and financial institutions.

Samsung Electronics’ Gear S3 supports a total of four companies starting today (the 2nd): Hyundai, Samsung, Hana, and Lotte Card. We also plan to support KB Kookmin Card in May.

The Samsung Pay Mini service is also launching. 'Samsung Pay Mini' allows any Android smartphone user to use the Samsung Pay service and supports four card companies equally.

Samsung Electronics is also strengthening its 'Samsung Rewards' service, which offers point accumulation and various benefits based on 'Samsung Pay' usage. A gifting feature has been added that allows users to send accumulated Rewards points to friends or acquaintances, and specialized credit, debit, and prepaid cards for 'Samsung Pay Rewards' will be launched in partnership with Samsung Card. Users earn up to 10% of the payment amount, or 5,000 points, every time they make a payment via Samsung Pay, and these Rewards points can be used like cash for payments.
