Participation in PCIM Europe 2017 Exhibition

ON Semiconductor is participating in the PCIM Europe 2017 exhibition, which opens on the 16th in Nuremberg, Germany, to showcase recent achievements in power technology and demonstrate products to the relevant industry.

Among the hardware Onsemi is demonstrating during the exhibition is the FDMF8811. This device is a highly integrated 100-volt rated bridge power stage module capable of handling both half-bridge and full-bridge DC-DC converter topologies. It provides rapid power delivery even within the confined spaces of DC-DC converters used in wireless base stations and other cloud computing infrastructure.

Onsemi's booth will also showcase the new FAN6248 synchronous rectifier controller. This device incorporates various features, such as adaptive parasitic inductance compensation and drain voltage sensing, making it a highly optimized solution for next-generation power implementations ranging from data centers to semiconductor lighting equipment.

As the demand for power delivery that meets small size, high reliability, and long lifespan grows, ON Semiconductor is also launching the new SPM2 and SPM3 Intelligent Power Module (IPM) families during the exhibition. These products are compact integrated modules that can be easily implemented in the power stages of single-phase and three-phase input voltage motor drive inverters up to 5 kW. These products enable small, simplified, energy-saving drive designs while complying with strict standards such as ErP efficiency regulations due to their high power and high heat dissipation cycling features.

In addition to this, various applications are being demonstrated daily at the exhibition. Specifically, the exhibition features power delivery for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), automatic safety control (with built-in diagnostic mechanisms) for brushless DC motors, and multi-purpose home automation products incorporating both wired Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and wireless EnOcean technologies for lighting control.
