VoiceWare Completes Development of Italian Speech Synthesizer
Published2017.05.15 15:35VoiceWare (CEO Lee Jong-seok) announced that it has completed the development of the Italian female voice Elisa and male voice Roberto for its voice synthesis product VoiceText™.
This synthesized product was developed with a locally preferred tone that captures the sophisticated and smooth vocal characteristics of standard Korean. Elisa features the bright and stable announcer tone of a woman in her 30s, while Roberto has received high praise from locals for his intellectual and composed announcer tone of a man in his 30s.
The company stated that Elisa and Roberto are high-quality speech synthesizers based on standard Italian that reflect unique pronunciation, intonation, and characteristics, and further enhance reading performance for numbers, abbreviations, and symbols that change depending on the context, such as dates, times, calls, and phone numbers, to produce natural pronunciation.
VoiceText has already been developed in 13 languages, including Italian, which was developed this time, and can be utilized in various industrial fields without restrictions on application.
VoiceWare announced that it is continuously developing a wider variety of languages and that a 14th language is scheduled to be released soon.
