TI Korea ( www.ti.com/ww/kr ) December 14, 2011 – TI announced the MSP430F563x and MSP430F663x families, adding enhanced performance and features to its portfolio of ultra-low-power 16-bit microcontrollers. Developers can immediately leverage the microcontrollers' large memory, display capabilities, and analog peripherals to support high-precision measurements and connectivity. The F563x and F663x devices meet the requirements of portable measurement applications such as blood glucose meters, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, electrocardiograms (ECGs), activity monitors, and sensor hubs. Home automation and industrial applications requiring user interfaces, such as utility meters, remote sensing, and thermostats, can also take advantage of the ultra-low power characteristics and high performance offered by the MSP430 family. The F563x and F663x product families belong to the TI MSP430 portfolio and feature the characteristics of the entire MSP430F5xx and MSP430F6xx series. Tools and Software for MSP430F563x and MSP430F663x Microcontrollers
The USB Developer Package for MSP430 is a free software package that includes all the source code and sample applications necessary to develop USB-based MSP430 projects. “USB Personal Healthcare Device Class” software for medical devices can also be downloaded from this developer package. Real-time operating software (RTOS) support is also available for this device family. TI also provides easy development tools for the MSP-TS430PZ100USB and MSP-FET430U100USB for debugging and evaluation. Both of these tools can be purchased from TI's e-store.
