Analog Devices announced the addition of POWERLINK, a real-time industrial Ethernet protocol, to the RapID™ Platform Network Interface developed by its Deterministic Ethernet Technology Group (formerly InnoBasic).

System designers can quickly and cost-effectively add industrial Ethernet to existing or new products through the RapID platform network interface, a complete, pre-tested and certified solution. It also offers flexibility in platform integration. Designers can integrate the RapID platform into field device applications in module form or embed components of the module into the circuit card of a field device, reducing development risk when managing network traffic for industrial protocols and host processors.
