Ansys Korea to Host 2017 Ansys Conference
Published2017.05.18 17:19The 2017 Ansys Conference will introduce rapidly changing simulation technology trends and success stories in engineering simulation. In addition, the latest technologies by industry sector will be shared through expert sessions in major fields such as fluid mechanics, structural mechanics, and electrical and electronics.
The conference consists of 25 sessions, beginning with a welcome address by Ansys Korea CEO Yong-Won Cho and including a keynote speech by Hanyang University President Young-Moo Lee. The major expert sessions will feature participation from clients and experts such as Samsung Electronics, Doosan Heavy Industries, LG Innotek, POSTECH, and Hanyang University.
Hanyang University President Lee Young-moo, who will deliver the keynote address, will present on the changes in the manufacturing industry environment and the utilization of simulation solutions under the theme of 'Engineering Innovation,' applying his decades of experience in engineering research. President Lee has previously applied simulation software to university education as a strategy to foster future engineering talent who will lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
"I am pleased to be able to hold in-depth discussions and exchange industry information regarding engineering simulation with the nation's top experts every year," said Yongwon Cho, CEO of Ansys Korea. "I hope this year will also be a valuable time that contributes to the development of the domestic manufacturing and analysis fields."

Ansys Korea Donates Multiphysics Campus Solution to Hanyang University
ANSYS Korea announced that it will donate its multiphysics campus solution products to Hanyang University. The donation ceremony held at Hanyang University on the 20th was attended by Jo Yong-won, CEO of ANSYS Korea, and Lee Young-moo, President of Hanyang University, among others. It is expected to be utilized for learning and research purposes across various related departments including electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and materials science engineering. Lee Young-moo, President of Hanyang University, stated, "Our university is taking the lead in establishing innovative engineering education models and cultivating creative practical talent," adding, "The software donation from ANSYS will be of great help in achieving Hanyang University's goal of entering the world's top 50 engineering schools." Jo Yong-won, CEO of ANSYS Korea, said, "New technologies for creating future IT products ultimately come from people, and cultivating specialized talent is of paramount importance. We have completed the software donation to Hanyang University following POSTECH and KAIST, and we plan to expand the scope of software support going forward."

앤시스 코리아, 성균관대에 네 번째 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 기증
앤시스 코리아는 성균관대학교에 앤시스 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 전 제품군을 기증했다. 이는 포스텍, KAIST, 한양대학교에 이어 네 번째로 미래 공학 분야를 선도하는 글로벌 인재 육성 지원을 목적으로 한다. 앤시스의 대학교 교육 지원 프로그램인 다중 물리 캠퍼스 솔루션은 학부 수업에서 사용할 수 있는 티칭 라이선스와 교수진 및 대학원에서 사용 가능한 리서치 라이선스를 포함한다. 성균관대에 기증된 소프트웨어는 최대 5,000명의 학생들이 수업용으로, 500명의 인원이 연구용으로 동시에 접속하여 사용할 수 있는 규모다.

Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. The plan is to consistently manage access permissions in an environment where AI agents are increasing as work execution entities, while applying the principle of least privilege and automated policy enforcement. The two companies plan to jointly expand capabilities to manage the identities of various entities, including AI agents, within a single layer in the AWS environment. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
