LG Electronics debuts LG Pay at World IT Show 2017.
Published2017.05.24 17:05LG Electronics unveiled 'LG Pay', scheduled to launch in June, at the 'World IT Show 2017' held for four days from the 24th at COEX in Samseong-dong.
LG Electronics has set up a separate experience zone equipped with the LG G6 and a card payment machine so that visitors can easily experience 'LG Pay'.
LG Pay features "Wireless Magnetic Communication (WMC)," a magnetic technology that allows it to be used just like a regular credit card for offline payments. This method generates a magnetic signal from a mobile device, which is then held up to a credit card terminal for payment.
Fingerprint authentication is required when launching the app, and a new virtual card number is created for each payment to prevent card information leaks. LG Electronics has completed the trademark application for the LG Pay service and plans to launch the domestic LG Pay service in June.
Initially, support for KB, Shinhan, BC, and Lotte cards will be provided, with plans to expand support to Hana, NH, Samsung, and Hyundai cards in September. LG G6 users will be able to use LG Pay with a simple software update once it's released. In addition to offline payments, it can be used for online payments and banking transactions.
Kim Hong-joo, executive director of LG Electronics' MC product planning group, emphasized, "We will lead the next-generation mobile payment service market with LG Pay, which offers both convenience and security."

[Experience the experience] I gave my Gear S3 with Samsung Pay to an employee when it didn't work.
이번 달 2일(화), 기어S3에 삼성페이 서비스가 들어왔다. ‘아, 기다리고 기다리던 삼성페이!’ 기어 유저들의 목소리가 들리는 듯 했다. 웨어러블 기기에 대한 독자들의 관심이 높아 눈여겨 보고 있던 찰나, 이때다 싶어 기어 S3 블루투스 버전을 차봤다. 아이폰과 기어의 만남 스마트 워치에 대한 경험이 전혀 없었기에 자체 폰(아이폰6)으로 적응 후 삼성 휴대폰을 사용하기로 했다. 먼저, 휴대폰에 Gear S앱을 설치했다. 아이폰에 정식으로 출시한 지 4개월 차 다. 추천 앱에는 워치페이스와 게임, 음악재생(멜론, Mnet), 서울대중교통 등이 있다. 휴대폰 연결 없이도 기본 앱인 S헬스(걸음 수, 커피/물 마신 잔 수, 계단 오른 횟수, 소모 칼로리, 심박 수 등)와 기압계, 달력, 미리 알림 뉴스 브리핑 등을 사용할 수 있지만, 언제나 Wifi를 연결할 순 없으니 블루투스를 연결했다. 전화를 걸거나 받고, 문자나 카톡은 새로운 메시지에 한해 확인만 할 수 있다.

"ICT That Changes Everything": World IT Show Held

The key to spreading AI agents in the financial sector is establishing a trustworthy data system. KB Kookmin Bank is operating over 100 AI agents by 2025 and is promoting expansion to 300. AI is automating repetitive tasks across various areas such as consultation, risk management, wealth management, and relationship management.
