Willis, selling 'LG Ultrafine 5K, 4K monitor' exclusively for MacBook Pro
Published2017.05.25 17:29The LG UltraFine 5K and 4K monitors are the world's first products to feature the Thunderbolt 3 port, the next-generation interface for the MacBook Pro, and this is the first time they are being officially sold in Korea.
The product is priced at 1,599,000 won for the 27-inch 5K (model name: 27MD5K) and 899,000 won for the 21.5-inch 4K (model name: 22MD4K), and can be pre-ordered from May 25 at 26 Willis stores nationwide.
A Willis official said, “The LG UltraFine Monitor is the best product in terms of image quality, design, innovation, and usability, and it has received a lot of attention from many MacBook Pro users. We are happy to be the first to introduce a product that MacBook users have been waiting for, and we will continue to do our best so that many customers can enjoy newer products and excellent user experiences through Willis.”
The 'LG UltraFine 5K Monitor', introduced for the first time in Korea through Willis, is a monitor optimized for the MacBook Pro that adopts an IPS panel and has a color reproducibility of 99% of the DCI-P3 standard, accurately expressing colors. With 218 pixels per inch, it can express complex images in detail. In order to display a large 5K screen without loss, it is the first in the world to adopt a Thunderbolt 3 terminal with a transmission speed of 40 gigabits per second, and if you connect a MacBook Pro and a monitor with Thunderbolt 3, you can conveniently charge your laptop while watching 5K video without a separate charger.
Users can easily use the video call service FaceTime by connecting the new monitor with a built-in camera and microphone to their MacBook Pro. This product was also selected as the 'Best Photo Monitor' by the 'Technical Image Press Association (TIPA),' the most prestigious association of photo and video magazine publishers, in April.
