The network speaker recently released by Axis is an all-in-one design that combines an amplifier, mixer, digital signal processor, streaming capabilities, microphone, power supply, and loudspeaker into a single unit. Supporting PoE technology, it can simultaneously supply power and data to each speaker via a single network cable. VoIP is also possible thanks to support for the SIP protocol. Since it ships fully configured from the factory, it can be installed and used without specialized technical skills, and adding or removing speakers from an audio system is also easy.


The method of use involves grouping multiple speakers into a single unit to play different background music and real-time announcements, control pre-recorded announcements, or change the volume of each speaker individually or collectively.

In addition, it provides high-quality background music playback and clear voice guidance. Background music can be played via the AXIS Audio Player application installed on the speaker. You can create playlists and schedule playback directly from the SD card built into the speaker system or from audio streaming services. Pre-recorded announcement audio files are played according to a pre-set schedule, or they are triggered by specific events captured by surveillance cameras.

The speaker has an automatic test function inside, so you do not need to check the audio system separately before playing announcements or background music, and the AXIS C1004-E supports waterproofing.
