DALLAS, Sept. 22, 2011 – Texas Instruments (TI) ( NASDAQ: TXN ) today introduced a 30-A synchronous step-down regulator with integrated MOSFETs that delivers 90 percent efficiency and fast transient response in a small 5-mm x 6-mm PowerStack QFN package. The TPS53355 converter delivers high performance for low-output-voltage, high-current applications that require higher power density, such as notebook computers, embedded computers, servers, storage and communications systems. The TPS53355 30A regulator uses D-CAP™ mode control to achieve transient response of up to 2A/µs, which is 20% faster than other solutions using conventional current- or voltage-mode control. The D-CAP mode control feature not only minimizes the use of external components, but also eliminates the need for loop compensation.

ST Launches 75V Drive IC Targeting 48V Industrial Motor Driving
