Tag Solution, Attaching LED to Glass is 'End' Energy Efficiency is 'Good'
Published2017.06.15 14:39There are 'things' the size of grains of rice stuck at regular intervals on a transparent plate. Even though you can't tell what they are no matter how you turn them around, they shine brightly when you turn them on.
This is Tag Solution's LED film.
While the LEDs that were mainly used at bus stops and on the exterior walls of buildings were glass-type, the recent trend is for flexible and transparent film-type LEDs to be released.
Reporter: "It bends back and forth well, so installation on curved surfaces will be faster."
CEO Park Seung-hwan: "Previously, in order to install a transparent curved surface, the frame had to be designed and applied from the production stage, so the time was shortened from the design stage. Installation is also simple as it can be attached with adhesive."
Reporter: "As it becomes simpler, will the installation cost also decrease?"
CEO Park Seung-hwan: "The cost has not gone down. Hahaha. Glass LEDs require 24~28V of voltage, while film LEDs require 12V. "Energy efficiency has improved."
Existing LEDs require the entire product to be replaced when one element 'goes out', but film LEDs are convenient because only the film needs to be replaced. They are thinner and lighter. LED spacing (20mm~26mm), film size, and film thickness (1mm/1.2mm full color) can be selected depending on the application.
Tag Solution made its debut in January 2015. Starting with being selected as a global K-startup in the same year, the company actively promoted itself by successfully attracting investment in a venture capital competition (2015), winning first place out of 235 teams in a creative comprehensive design competition (2016), and attending CES in Las Vegas (2017).
We are currently working with a digital signage company to mass-produce film-type LEDs, and plan to install full-color film-type LEDs in Sinchon in August of this year.

LG이노텍은 독자적인 고출력 수직칩 기술로 고신뢰성 하이파워 LED를 개발했다. 이 제품은 최고 출력 10W로 10만 시간 동안 작동시켜도 스포츠 경기장을 밝히는 데 문제가 없다. 여기에 국내 조명회사 KMW의 조명 설계 기술이 더해져 수원월드컵경기장 메인 조명으로 설치됐다.
