TI Korea ( www.ti.com/ww/kr ) September 21, 2011 – TI, a leader in highly integrated wireless connectivity solutions and low-power radio frequency (LPRF) technology, has launched the Sub-1 GHz RF Performance Line product family. This product family provides superior connectivity performance for low-power wireless applications in security, smart grids, industrial, wireless healthcare, home/building automation, and other fields. The Sub-1 GHz RF Performance Line not only meets the market's stringent RF requirements but also possesses excellent filtering capabilities against other RF sources. From the perspective of developers and users, this means that finished products can provide robust and reliable wireless links capable of withstanding interference from other surrounding wireless systems. The Sub-1 GHz RF Performance Line product family currently consists of the CC1120 and CC1121 transceivers and the CC1175 transmitter. Compared to competitor products, this product family of 1GHz RF performance lines can be placed 30 times closer to other RF systems and equipment that may cause interference, allowing for convenient coexistence among various connected devices in a single environment. By providing 65dB of adjacent channel rejection with a 12.5KHz offset and 90dB blocking, TI delivers the industry's most reliable sub-1GHz connectivity performance. With a 139dB link budget, distances between products can exceed 10km, providing maximum indoor penetration performance. Additionally, advanced RF sniff mode allows the system to listen for incoming RF packets with very low power consumption. Power consumption is less than 3mA in receive (Rx) sniff mode while maintaining perfect RF performance.

Tools, supply timing, packaging, and price
Products in this sub-1GHz RF performance line are available from TI and its authorized distributors. This solution is provided in a ROHS-compliant 5mm x 5mm QFN-32 package.

The new CC1120DK development kit is currently available for purchase at TI's e-store for $299. This kit supports 868MHz and 915MHz. Additional evaluation module kits supporting other frequencies are available for individual purchase.
