Dassault Systèmes Innovates Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Through Acquisition of ITEK BV
Published2017.06.20 07:20Dassault Systèmes announced that it has signed a final acquisition agreement with AITAC BV (hereinafter AITAC), a Dutch company specializing in shipbuilding and marine engineering software.
Through this acquisition, Dassault Systèmes is now able to provide a 3DEXPERIENCE platform that can accelerate digital innovation in the shipbuilding and marine industry. Itech’s Smart Drawings is a software application used by shipbuilding and marine companies to automate the production of master 3D model drawings of ships, platforms, and other structures designed with Dassault Systèmes CATIA.
Smart Drawings is based on standards, practices, regulations, and templates tailored to the shipbuilding and marine industry and specific regional requirements, allowing companies to benefit from reduced drawing production costs, improved quality of certification documents, and maximized value of master 3D models.
Dassault Systèmes plans to fully integrate Smart Drawings into the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platforms “Designed for Sea” and “Optimized Production for Sea,” which are used in the design, verification, manufacturing, and planning phases of shipbuilding and marine projects.

Dassault Systèmes Supplies Solutions to Aerospace Equipment Manufacturers
Dassault Systèmes Korea announced the extension of a 3D EXPERIENCE platform supply contract with Rockwell Collins. Rockwell Collins is an aerospace equipment company that provides related services in more than 150 countries worldwide, based on specialized expertise in cockpit and in-cabin electronic engineering technology, communication technology, simulation and training, and information management fields. Currently, Rockwell Collins is building an engineering and technical PLM environment that enables collaboration among its employees stationed globally by utilizing ENOVIA and EXALEAD applications, which are part of "Co-Design To Target," a Dassault Systèmes solution specialized for the aerospace and defense industries.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. The plan is to consistently manage access permissions in an environment where AI agents are increasing as work execution entities, while applying the principle of least privilege and automated policy enforcement. The two companies plan to jointly expand capabilities to manage the identities of various entities, including AI agents, within a single layer in the AWS environment. This collaboration is interpreted as a move to design security and governance together in corporate environments where AI adoption is expanding.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
