Agilent announced that it has completed a final acquisition agreement with Accelicon, a company that has provided device modeling and verification software as well as circuit design solutions for electronic semiconductor components.
Founded in 2002, Accelicon is a technology leader in device modeling and verification and PDK solutions, offering a diverse portfolio of solutions including AMA for advanced model analysis including layout, MQA for device model verification, and MBP for model extraction and generation.
Through this acquisition, Agilent will leverage Accelicon's innovative technology and outstanding development talent to provide a more comprehensive solution portfolio to address customers' modeling requirements, thereby strengthening its leadership position in semiconductor device modeling.
Mark Pierpont, Manager of Agilent's Software and Modular System Solutions Division, stated, "The combination of the two companies' modeling expertise and Agilent's experience brings us one step closer to our goal of providing design solutions with the industry's most outstanding processes, from device modeling through simulation and measurement."
