Dell EMC Hosts Forum for Digital Innovation
Published2017.06.22 11:39Dell EMC will hold the 'Dell EMC Forum 2017' on July 6 at the COEX Convention Center in Samseong-dong, presenting the latest strategies, solutions, and various innovation cases for digital transformation.
As the world's largest private IT company and an industry leader, the EMC Forum shares insights and strategies on the various key issues facing businesses in the digital age.
The 'Dell EMC Forum 2017,' themed 'REALIZE,' will be held throughout the entire New Wing of the COEX Convention Center, centered around the Auditorium and Grand Ballroom. David Webster, President of Dell EMC Asia Pacific, will deliver the keynote address and plans to present Dell EMC's vision and business strategy for IT innovation, as well as its diversified portfolio and key success stories following last year's integration.
Following the keynote speech, a total of 25 session presentations will be held across five tracks: Digital Transformation, Modern Infrastructure, Hyper-converged Systems, Cloud, and Workforce Transformation. The sessions will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will cover a variety of topics, including success strategies for modern data centers enabled by cutting-edge server technology, hyper-converged solutions for Anything as a Service, cloud-native application development environments, Workforce Transformation for maximizing work productivity, and a new paradigm for enterprise PCs. In addition to this, it presents specific solutions for the latest topics in enterprise IT, such as IoT (Internet of Things), big data, software-defined data centers, and open networks.
Various products will be exhibited and solution demos will be showcased at the event venue. In particular, high interest from visitors is expected as innovative PCs and peripherals that swept various design awards at this year's CES and Computex will be on display. The exhibited products include the world's first 8K UHD monitor, the 'Dell Ultrasharp 32-inch 8K Monitor' (model name UP3218K), the 'Alienware 25-inch Gaming Monitor' (model name AW2518H), and the 'Dell Canvas 27,' a new concept digital workspace product.

Dell EMC Announces 3 New Products Targeting Open Networking 'SDN Market'
델 EMC가 데이터센터 인프라의 유연성은 높이고, 비용은 획기적으로 절감하는 새로운 ‘오픈 네트워킹’ 포트폴리오를 공개했다. 델 EMC의 오픈 네트워킹 전략은 기존의 SDN(소프트웨어 정의 네트워크)에서 한 걸음 더 나아간 것으로, 개방형 표준 하드웨어 및 자동화된 관리 툴과 함께 다양한 네트워크 OS 선택권을 제공하는 것이 특징이다. 글로벌 데이터 연구조사 업체 ACG 리서치의 최근 보고서에 따르면, 오픈 네트워킹 모델을 채택한 기업의 5년 기준 TCO(총소유비용)는 기존 방식의 53%에 불과했으며, 자본 지출은 47% 낮았다. 새로운 서비스나 애플리케이션을 제공하는 평균 구현 시간도 기존 방식의 3분의 1로 줄어들었다.

델 EMC가 소프트웨어 정의 스토리지(Software Defined Storage, 이하 SDS) 포트폴리오를 대거 확대하며 유연하고 비용 효율적인 IT 트랜스포메이션 방안을 제시한다. 데이터센터 인프라를 손쉽게 관리할 수 있는 델 EMC의 SDS 솔루션은 새롭게 공개한 델 EMC 14세대 ‘파워에지(PowerEdge)’ 서버와 만나 한층 더 강력해진 성능과 확장성을 제공한다. 델 EMC가 이번에 발표한 새로운 SDS 포트폴리오는 하반기 출시 예정으로, ▲엔터프라이즈급 SDS 솔루션인 ‘스케일IO(ScaleIO) 레디 노드’의 신제품 ‘스케일IO.넥스트(ScaleIO.Next)’, ▲다양한 가상화 플랫폼을 위한 ‘델 EMC 레디 노드(Ready Node)’의 신규 포트폴리오, ▲오브젝트 스토리지 ‘ECS(Elastic Cloud Storage)’와 ‘아이실론SD 엣지(IsilonSD Edge)’ 업데이트가 포함된다. 델 EMC는 이와 함께 대용량 IoT(사물인터넷) 데이터 분석 및 저장을 위한 솔루션으로 프로젝트 ‘노틸러스(Nautilus)’도 공개했다.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. The plan is to consistently manage access permissions in an environment where AI agents are increasing as work execution entities, while applying the principle of least privilege and automated policy enforcement. The two companies plan to jointly expand capabilities to manage the identities of various entities, including AI agents, within a single layer in the AWS environment. This collaboration is interpreted as a move to design security and governance together in corporate environments where AI adoption is expanding.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
