Telit announced the launch of the 'LE940A9', an automotive grade IoT module that supports the industry's first LTE-Advanced Category 9 (Cat 9) network.

Supporting three multi-band, multi-mode modes, including Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE), this new product enables automakers to bring next-generation connected car technology to major markets around the world.

The LE940A9 is the newest addition to Telit's xE940 family of automotive-grade modules. Supporting download speeds of 450 Mbps and upload speeds of 50 Mbps, along with ultra-low latency and enhanced security features, this module is poised to revolutionize automotive applications and services, laying the foundation for autonomous driving.

From commercial and consumer telematics services to autonomous driving and driver assistance features, infotainment, and countless other applications that rely on remote software updates, secure, broadband-like speeds are now essential.
