TI’s best-in-class solution integrates leading automotive infotainment processors, wireless connectivity solutions, analog solutions, and an optimized software ecosystem to support feature-rich automotive applications, including infotainment head units, rear-seat entertainment systems, radios, and navigation tools. Automotive Infotainment Processors: Providing stunning visuals and innovative multimedia to vehicles
TI’s C6000™ “Jacinto” automotive infotainment processor and automotive-grade OMAP™ mobile processors deliver superior visual computing and entertainment performance for both drivers and passengers. By including a dedicated 3D graphics accelerator and video coprocessor that support full 1080p HD video playback, streaming, graphics, and user interfaces, these processors elevate the multimedia and multitasking experience on the dashboard or in the rear seats to a new level. Because TI’s C6000 Jacinto automotive infotainment processor integrates a DSP, it enables automotive equipment manufacturers to add diverse and innovative capabilities to applications, such as real-time wireless, audio, and voice functions.
The smart multicore architecture of the TI OMAP processor enhances the high performance and low power consumption essential for collecting and displaying information and multimedia in real time. The WiLink 7.0 solution is the industry's first and only solution to perfectly integrate technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, GPS, and FM onto a single chip for a wide range of automotive connectivity options. In addition, TI’s Linux® IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) solution provides open source that serves as a starting point for development on TI’s C6000 Jacinto automotive infotainment processor. Through Linux IVI, developers can quickly and easily integrate World Radio with Linux-based SDR to support A/V playback (1080p HD video) capabilities and advanced graphics.
