Garmin announced the release of the 'vivosmart 3', a smart activity tracker equipped with wrist heart rate measurement and exercise monitoring functions.

The VivoSmart 3 is the first product in Garmin's Vivo lineup to measure VO2 Max, an indicator of aerobic exercise performance. Users can view their VO2 Max converted into a fitness level, which is rated from 'Below Average' to 'Excellent'. VO2 Max is also used to measure fitness age, which can motivate users as their fitness age decreases the more they exercise.

The newly added strength training mode can measure repetitive exercises more precisely. When a user starts strength training, data such as the number of repetitions and sets, as well as rest time, can be measured, and the collected information can be synchronized with Garmin Connect for monitoring.

In addition, the Garmin Move IQ feature, which automatically recognizes exercise, adds convenience by eliminating the need to press separate start and end buttons when enjoying sports such as walking, running, cycling, and swimming.

Garmin measures stress levels based on heart rate variability and displays them on a graph. It is equipped with features to help you relax, such as through meditation, when stress levels are high, enabling you to manage stress by maintaining healthier lifestyle habits.

It boasts a slim and stylish design and features a hidden display that turns on only when motion is detected or a notification is received. With a 5ATM (50-meter) water resistance rating, it can be worn while swimming or showering, and with a battery life of up to 5 days, there is no burden of frequent charging.

The Vivosmart 3, released in black, purple, and blue colors, is available for purchase at official Garmin dealers.
