SAS Korea: Learn Big Data Analytics via E-learning

SAS Korea (CEO Cho Seong-sik) announced that it is expanding its support for big data analysis e-learning courses to foster domestic data scientists. SAS Korea is providing global e-learning courses with Korean subtitles for free, and is also offering discounts and free exam benefits for package courses preparing for the SAS international certification 'SCBP (SAS Certified Base Programmer)'.
In response, SAS Korea is expanding its support for global e-learning courses to broaden the base of domestic data scientists. The 'SAS Programming 1: Basics' course, which covers everything from basic SAS program concepts to program writing, is being offered for free with Korean subtitles. To enroll, simply sign up on the SAS Korea website (www.sas.com/korea) and apply for the free e-learning course (http://bit.ly/2s8IH3r).
Students can easily manage their training courses through the 'My Training (support.sas.com/training/)' page on the SAS website and take courses freely according to their personal learning pace and level of understanding. SAS Korea plans to open an additional free training course, 'SAS Statistics 1: Basic Statistics,' with Korean subtitles in the second half of the year.
Meanwhile, SAS Korea is also holding an event starting July 1 to support the acquisition of SAS international certifications. SAS is offering a discount on tuition for the 'SCBP Global e-Learning Package Course' to prepare for the SAS international certification 'SCBP (SAS Certified Base Programmer)' until December 31 of this year, and is providing free SCBP exam takers for those enrolled in the regular 'SAS Programming 1&2: Fast Track' course until September 30. This offer is limited to those enrolled in the regular course from July to September 2017, and the free exam benefit is valid for up to three months after enrollment.
Yoon Mi-ra, Senior Vice President of Customer Support Strategy at SAS Korea, said, “As a leader in the field of big data analytics, SAS has placed emphasis on fostering and educating the next generation of data scientists. Today, as competition for big data talent intensifies due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution between companies and nations, the demand for SAS’s various big data analytics training programs is also rising.” She added, “We hope that through free global e-learning courses with Korean subtitles and various international certification support programs, more people will be able to learn conveniently and grow into future big data experts.”

SAS코리아는 IT서비스 전문 기업 코오롱베니트에 SAS스마트팩토리 분석 솔루션을 공급하고, 인더스트리 4.0을 지원할 수 있는 코오롱 통합 빅데이터 분석 플랫폼 구축을 추진하고 있다. SAS, 금융 엔터프라이즈 머신러닝 전략 세미나 개최
SAS(쌔스)코리아가 오늘 웨스틴조선호텔에서 주요 금융 관계자 180여 명을 대상으로 금융 세미나를 개최, 최적의 엔터프라이즈 머신러닝 플랫폼을 구축하고 전사적으로 분석적 시너지를 발휘할 수 있는 전략에 대해 발표했다. 최근 금융 산업은 대출 심사, 사기 방지, 고객 상담 등 다양한 분야에 머신러닝을 도입하며 인공지능(AI) 관련 트렌드를 이끌고 있다. 글로벌 시장조사업체 IDC에 따르면, 금융 산업은 전 세계적으로 2016년 한 해 동안 인지·인공지능 시스템에 15억달러(약 1조 7000억원)를 지출하며, 소매 산업과 함께 인공지능 분야에 가장 많은 투자를 단행했다. 그러나 인공지능에 대한 높은 기대감과 빠른 도입의 이면에는 현실적인 접근 방안과 전사적 관점의 목적이 고려되지 않아 시스템 적용이 특정 영역에 한정되거나 진행이 늦어지는 등 여러 가지 어려움이 발생하고 있다. 이에 SAS는 금융 회사가 고민하고 있는 현실적으로 도입 가능한 인공지능 기술과 업무 적용 방안, 성공 사례들을 제시하기 위해 이번 세미나를 개최했다.
