CA Technologies: 80% Software Improvement Through Combining DevOps and Cloud

A CA Technologies survey found that companies that combined DevOps methodologies with cloud-based tools improved overall software deployment performance by more than 80% and enjoyed significant business benefits.
On the 3rd, CA Technologies Korea announced the results of its "DevOps and Cloud: Better Together" study, the industry's first to quantify the synergies between DevOps and the cloud. Over a thousand IT decision-makers from around the world participated in the online survey.
CA directly compared the business benefits of utilizing DevOps and the cloud separately and together during software development and deployment. The study found that both companies achieved improvements in cost, quality, and efficiency when utilizing them separately or together. However, companies that used DevOps methodologies and cloud-based tools together improved their overall software deployment performance by 81%, enjoying greater benefits than companies that used DevOps (52%) and cloud (53%) separately.
When combining DevOps and the cloud, synergy effects were achieved, including: ▲SW deployment speed doubled, ▲SW performance predictability improved by 80%, ▲SW quality improved by 66%, ▲Customer experience improved by 69% compared to traditional SW development and deployment models, and ▲Doubled improvement in DevOps tool and service cost management.

Siemens PLM Software announced the launch of Solid Edge ST10, a 3D CAD solution. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
