Corning Launches Premium Glass Print Frames
Published2017.07.04 06:30Corning announced today the launch of MASTERPIX, a premium glass print frame featuring Corning Gorilla Glass, in the Korean market.
Unlike ordinary glass frames or conventional acrylic frames, Masterpix prints photo images directly onto the glass surface using high-quality ink. Gorilla Glass, Corning’s flagship product used as the cover glass for over 5 billion electronic devices worldwide, including mobile phones and tablet PCs, was utilized as the glass for Masterpix.
Gorilla Glass is highly durable and resistant to damage, making it suitable for use as a picture frame. Additionally, it is thin and lightweight, yet offers excellent durability and optical clarity, ensuring vivid and long-lasting colors.
It is characterized by high transparency and flatness compared to standard glass or acrylic used for traditional frames, reproducing the image exactly as it is without distortion. Additionally, it is resistant to scratches, fingerprints, and other stains that frequently occur in daily life, allowing you to keep it clean for a long time.
Corning also introduces MASTERPIX PRO, a premium glass frame for semi-professional and professional photographers. This is produced by printing on high-quality photo paper with ultra-high-resolution UHD ink and then bonding it with Gorilla Glass.
Masterfix comes in two types: a tabletop stand type and a wall-mount type, and is available in five different sizes ranging from 8 x 10 inches to 24 x 32 inches.
The Masterfix Pro is available for purchase only in Korea and is offered as a wall-mounted model in four sizes, ranging from 16 x 20 inches to 24 x 32 inches.
