[Automotive Video Coverage] Western Digital Unveils Storage Optimized for Automotive Environments
Published2017.07.17 17:40Western Digital, which participated in Automotive Innovation Day 2017 held on the 5th hosted by Automotive Electronics, unveiled an automotive embedded storage solution.
The 'iNAND 7250A' passes all tests required by the automotive market including reliability, extreme temperature, and physical shock, and as a product covering up to Grade 2, mass production has begun.
Based on memory management firmware, it provides enhanced power tolerance, ECC, wear leveling, and bad block management functions. It also features automotive-specific capabilities including advanced device state monitoring, manual/automatic refresh, fast booting, and flexible EUDA.
It is suitable for various automotive applications including navigation, infotainment systems, ADAS, maps, V2V/V2I, digital cluster, black box, and telematics.

[오토모티브 영상취재] 맥심, 케이블 수 줄이는 튜너 솔루션 공개
오토모티브 일렉트로닉스 주최로 지난 5일 열린, 오토모티브 이노베이션데이 2017에 참여한 맥심은 소프트웨어정의라디오(SDR) 솔루션을 소개했다. SDR은 기존의 안테나와 헤드유닛 간에 RF 신호가 아날로그 신호로 전달이 되는 것을 디지털로 변환하는 방식을 쓰고 있다. 이전의 방식은 RF 신호가 케이블을 따라가다보니 노이즈의 영향을 크게 받는다. 또, 케이블이 길어지면서 들어가는 비용이 늘어나게 된다. 맥심의 원격 튜너 솔루션은 헤드유닛 디자인을 간소화하고 필요한 케이블의 양을 줄여준다. 라디오 튜너는 안테나 근처에 있고 모든 튜너의 출력은 GMSL(Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link)을 사용해 단일 케이블에서 직렬화 된다. ‘max2175 RF to Bits’ 칩을 기반으로 아날로그 신호를 디지털로 변환하여 15~30m까지 장거리 전송이 가능하다.

[Automotive Video Coverage] Microchip Showcases Infotainment Solution Emphasizing Connectivity
Microchip, which participated in Automotive Innovation Day 2017 held on the 5th under the auspices of Automotive Electronics, unveiled USB hub and car infotainment application solutions. The High Speed USB 2.0 hub serves to enable direct access to CarPlay. Standard USB communication operates on a host-and-slave basis. When iOS or Android enters the car infotainment, the smartphone itself becomes the host and the head unit becomes the device. In this case, since USB cannot connect host-to-host, the hub provides that function instead.

[Automotive Video Coverage] Intel's Integrated System Reduces Board Size and Design Flexibility
Intel participated in Automotive Innovation Day 2017 and demonstrated a lane tracker and object recognition demo using the MAX 10 series for autonomous driving applications. Intel's MAX 10 FPGA provides an integrated system. It features an integrated analog block with analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and temperature sensor that provides flexible sample sequencing and reduces board space. Dual flash enables thousands of reprogramming cycles, allowing for immediate program processing.
