Athesin, 115V Industrial Power Supply Unit Receives 80PLUS Efficiency Rating

According to Ecova, the industrial power supplies will operate at just 26% of their rated power, benefiting a wide range of industrial equipment manufacturers, including medical and instrumentation, industrial and building control and automation, and test and measurement.

Artesyn Launches Rail DC-DC Converters Suitable for Railway and Transportation Systems
Artesyn Embedded Technologies has added 72 new models to its ERM family of DC-DC converter modules designed to meet power requirements and safety standard requirements in the railway vehicle field. Each series supporting 10 to 20 watts of power output includes models with single 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V or dual +/- 12 V and +/- 15 V outputs and input ranges of 9 Vdc to 36 Vdc, 18 Vdc to 75 Vdc, or 40 Vdc to 160 Vdc. The ERM family is integrated in a 25.4 x 50.8 mm (1 x 2 in) DIP package and is unaffected by atmospheric conditions without additional protective coating. The operating temperature of the DC-DC converter module is supported from 40 degrees Celsius up to a maximum of 85 degrees Celsius at rated capacity and below. Using an optional heat sink promotes heat dissipation at high operating temperatures to improve performance. The new DC-DC converter models employ an insulation system reinforced with high EMC immunity and 3000 Vac RMS I/O isolation, meeting the quality requirements necessary for numerous embedded power applications required in railway and other transportation systems. They are ideal for vehicle applications such as engine management, traction control, door control, video surveillance, communications, entertainment, lighting, and other onboard electrical equipment.
