Seorin C&I has launched the Define XL R2 case series from Fractal Design, a low-noise cooling brand.
The case comes in a total of two colors: the all-black Black Pearl Edition and the Titanium Edition featuring a metallic hairline.
The Define XL R2 case minimizes noise and vibration generated during PC operation through a heavy steel frame and the application of sound-insulating material to thick side panels. It is a product series that has proven to achieve a low noise level of 21.2 dB, which is lower than the sound of stepping on fallen leaves, through noise isolation tests at the ORFIELD laboratory, which is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the quietest place in the world.
The interior of the case offers ample space to accommodate graphics cards up to 480mm and high-performance CPU coolers up to 180mm, and supports not only E-ATX motherboards but also XL-ATX motherboards, making it very advantageous for building high-performance systems.
In addition, while the air vents at the top of the case can help improve cooling efficiency, they can also increase noise; therefore, a Modvent fan cover featuring soundproofing material is provided to completely block these vents. Furthermore, removable dust filters are applied to the front and bottom of the case to minimize foreign matter from the outside and make cleaning easy.
In particular, the front uses a method where the fan is attached to and detached from the fan filter cover, allowing for free attachment and detachment, rather than installing the fan directly into the case itself. Fans can be attached and detached from the fan slots, allowing for a neat and convenient fan configuration.
It offers high expandability, such as providing eight sliding drive bays for installing 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs and four easy-to-install 5.25-inch ODD bays that do not require a separate screwdriver. The cage-type drive bays can be rotated 90 degrees horizontally for mounting or completely detached, and two 3.5-inch HDD cages can be installed separately in reverse, allowing for customization according to the user's environment.
An official from Seorin C&I stated, "To explain the Scandinavian design pursued by Fractal Design, we provide customers with a minimal design derived from simplicity and practicality that is free from the fatigue caused by exaggerated designs and remains appealing even after prolonged viewing."

The case front and bottom are equipped with detachable dust filters to minimize foreign matter from external sources and facilitate cleaning.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation.
