ASUS Launches Slim GX501 Gaming Laptop

ASUS has launched the ROG Zephyrus GX501.
The ROG Zephyrus GX501 is a compact gaming laptop equipped with a 7th-generation Intel Core processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Experience immersive visuals with a 15.6-inch screen, 100% sRGB coverage, and a 120Hz display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for vivid colors.
Although it has become slimmer, it adopts the ROG-exclusive Active Aerodynamic System (AAS), a specially designed cooling system, to maximize cooling performance and system stability, providing gamers with a more comfortable gaming environment.
The keyboard features customizable ASUS Aura RGB lighting technology, and the USB-C port enables G-SYNC and 4K UHD display output, as well as fast data transfer and power supply.
An ASUS representative said, “The GX501, which has an ultra-slim design while being equipped with a graphics card, will be the optimal product for gamers who consider both high performance and portability as they can freely enjoy high-spec games even outside, such as at a cafe.” They added, “We hope that this event, which provides useful gifts, will be a good opportunity for customers considering purchasing a gaming laptop.”

ASUS Launches Compact Gaming Graphics Card
ASUS has launched the Phoenix GeForce GTX 1060, a graphics card with a compact form factor. With dimensions of 18.3cm width, 12.1cm depth, and 3.8cm height, it is suitable for gaming PCs based on the ITX specification. Through dual ball bearing fans, it provides powerful cooling performance with low noise, maximizing both the graphics card's performance and noise reduction. The dual ball bearing fans eliminate oil evaporation issues found in sleeve bearing fans, extending lifespan by approximately two times and reducing friction to bring noise levels close to 0dB.

ESP32 Development Environment Selection and GPS Application Implementation
The ESP32 is a microcontroller that integrates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 12-bit ADC, capacitive touch, PWM, DAC, and UART in a single SoC. However, the abundance of features does not by itself solve the designer's problems. The real challenges lie in selecting the appropriate development environment, determining which pins can be used and which must be avoided, and converting raw data from modules into usable information. This document addresses ESP32 peripheral constraints (ADC2 and Wi-Fi coexistence limitation, UART1 occupancy, ADC non-linear regions), the trade-offs between Arduino IDE and ESP-IDF, and the process from connecting NEO-6M/NEO-M8N GPS modules to UART2, parsing NMEA sentences, and visualizing routes in Google Earth, all organized based on documented references.
