Schneider Electric announced a partnership to address safety and cybersecurity challenges in global industrial infrastructure. Under the terms of the agreement, Claroty will offer its real-time OT/ICS network monitoring and detection solutions to customers through the Collaborative Automation Partner Program (CAPP).

The Claroty platform proactively protects industrial control systems and continuously monitors industrial networks for cyber threats. Asset owners can adopt policies to control remote employee and third-party access to critical systems through secure remote access and record sessions. Continuous threat detection creates a detailed inventory of industrial network assets, identifies configuration errors, monitors traffic between assets, and identifies anomalies indicating the presence of malware. Alerting capabilities provide plant and security personnel with actionable insights, enabling efficient investigation, response, and recovery.

This partnership adds a key component to the company's comprehensive cybersecurity offering by protecting connected products and edge control offerings within the company's EcoStruxure architecture.

Schneider Electric and Claroty have verified the interoperability of their solutions through rigorous testing. Through CAPP, Schneider Electric will integrate innovative technologies developed by its partner ecosystem into its own offerings to provide complete business solutions.

A key element of the Claroty platform is its ability to deeply explore industrial network protocols without impacting system performance. This capability enables end users to secure complex and sensitive industrial networks and safely identify anomalies. Traditional IT security software often relies on active queries and demands network space, resulting in operational disruption. However, the Claroty platform utilizes a passive monitoring approach, enabling safe traffic inspection without risk of operational disruption.
