Logitech Launches MeetUp, a Video Conferencing Device Suitable for Small Conference Rooms of 4-6 People

"Despite the widespread adoption of videoconferencing, only 3% of companies have adopted it. This demonstrates the immense potential for market growth. Image and audio quality continue to evolve, and by 2020, we plan to introduce videoconferencing equipment to even small and medium-sized businesses."

Logitech Video Conferencing Group Manager Lee Bergs introduced the new product 'Meetup' at WeWork.

The Meetup is an all-in-one device that combines a camera, speaker, and microphone. It boasts a 120-degree field of view and 4K HD resolution.



To see what a 120-degree field of view is like, I stood right next to the camera. Only when I got right up to the TV screen did I finally get out of the way. With up to five times the magnification, the camera can zoom in to 4K HD resolution, allowing you to see who's sitting where even in a conference room with dozens of people. It can also move up to 25 degrees left and right and up to 15 degrees up and down.

The microphone and speakers are at a level where even the person sitting furthest away in a small conference room that seats 10 people can have a natural conversation. The three beam-type microphones suppress ambient noise and can detect up to 4.2 meters away from the microphone, or up to 6 meters with a cable.





Logitech has long been known as a company known for making excellent keyboards and mice. Rebux explained, "In fact, Logitech has been the world's leader in webcams. The newly released MeetUp is a lens that embodies Logitech's webcam technology."

Meetup is intuitive, featuring USB plug-and-play functionality. It's lightweight enough to be carried with one hand, making it easy to set up and move. To start a video conference, simply plug in the USB cable and connect to cloud video conferencing software like Skype for Business, Wetex, or Zoom. Even if your partner isn't using Meetup, they can still participate in the video conference by simply connecting to their respective software.

Logitech Korea CEO Jeong Cheol-gyo stated, "Video conferencing has long been perceived as 'convenient, but complex and expensive.' Logitech is committed to providing hardware that works with any software. We will solidify our position in the video conferencing industry going forward."

Along with the launch of Meetup on this day, Logitech also introduced the 'Logitech ConferenceCam Soft Remote' app, which allows users to use their smartphone or tablet as a remote control even without a remote control.
