Microchip Holds Technical Training Event for Embedded Control Engineers

Microchip Technology announced that it has begun registration for the 8th Korea MASTERS Conference.
This technology education conference will be held from October 25 to 27 at Hanwha Resort in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, and will provide a venue for various lectures, practical training, and meetings with experts.
Microchip's annual Korea Masters Conference is the premier technical education event for embedded control engineers and is designed to provide engineers with a platform to share and exchange technical information regarding Microchip's vast product portfolio, as well as design resources for utilizing Microchip's products in various applications.
This year's conference will feature a total of 25 courses covering Microchip's 8, 16, and 32-bit PIC microcontrollers (MCUs), high-performance analog and interface solutions, dsPIC digital signal controllers, wireless communication, mTouch sensing solutions, security - CryptoAuthentication, USB and Ethernet solutions, embedded Linux, and the MPLAB development ecosystem. This event also includes lectures on Microchip's AVR and SAM (ARM-based) MCUs.
Han Byeong-don, Country Manager for Microchip Korea and General Manager for North Asia, stated, “Microchip is striving every year to establish the Masters Conference as the premier educational event for design engineers.” He added, “This year’s theme is ‘Dream. Develop. Deliver.’ This program provides participants with inspiration for big dreams, practical information to shorten development time, and the tools necessary to deliver high-quality products to customers. All engineers attending the Masters Conference will be able to gain valuable knowledge needed to solve today’s most demanding design challenges.”
In addition, this event will host a design contest open to all participants. Applicants must design a product using Microchip products, complete online registration by October 10, and submit a video clip of their product on YouTube by October 18. Three winners will be selected at the Masters Conference, and the winners will be awarded high-end drone cameras (valued between 200,000 and 1,600,000 KRW) as prizes.
In addition, networking sessions are prepared for attendees to discuss relevant design topics with experts from partner companies, as well as time to meet with development tool experts from those companies.

애플, 5G기술 1년째 테스트 중 올해 5월 애플은 5G 테스트 허가를 신청한 바 있다. 28GHz 및 39GHz 밀리미터파 대역이다. 비즈니스 인사이더는 애플이 라이선스를 신청한 직후 한 애널리스트와의 인터뷰를 통해 “애플이 5G를 테스트하기 위해 본사에 네트워크를 구축하고 있을 것”이라고 밝혔다. 실험용 라이선스로, 모바일 송신기에서 수신자로 보내는 거리에 따른 신호강도를 테스트하는 단방향 전송으로 예측했다. 이어 애플이 사용하는 애플리케이션은 송신기가 고정되어야 하므로 아이폰용 5G는 어렵다고 보도했다.

Microchip Launches Next-Generation Debugger Tool with Speed and Flexibility
Microchip Technology announced that it provides in-circuit programming and debugging development tools (MPLAB® ICD 4) for its PIC microcontroller and dsPIC digital signal controller portfolio. The MPLAB ICD 4 includes all the functionality of the widely-used MPLAB ICD 3 debugger while improving speed through a faster processor and expanded RAM. Additionally, since the MPLAB ICD 4 uses a 32-bit MCU operating at 300MHz, it delivers significantly faster performance. The buffer memory has also been increased to 2MB, resulting in speeds up to twice as fast as the previous product.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. The plan is to consistently manage access permissions in an environment where AI agents are increasing as work execution entities, while applying the principle of least privilege and automated policy enforcement. The two companies plan to jointly expand capabilities to manage the identities of various entities, including AI agents, within a single layer in the AWS environment. This collaboration is interpreted as a move to design security and governance together in corporate environments where AI adoption is expanding.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
