'Helix Device Cloud' Providing Lifecycle Solutions According to IoT Environment

At WindForum 2017, Gareth Noyes, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), expressed his commitment to expanding the Industrial IoT market with the Titanium Control industrial cloud platform, which has been adopted in virtualized cloud solutions for aerospace and telecommunications sectors.

Han Sang-ho, Director of Networking Technology Sales, stated, "To implement IoT, it is important to build a flexible on-premises environment and maintain purposeful awareness of solving problems," adding that an IoT lifecycle must be built using technology that reflects the characteristics of the relevant field. Helix Device Cloud provides an integrated lifecycle.

Use cases for Helix Device Cloud (Helix Device Cloud), which provides integrated lifecycle management, include ▲smart fire stations that control pump configurations that vary depending on fire characteristics ▲climate monitoring systems that measure air quality differently at factories in Bangalore, India and San Francisco, USA ▲smart lighting solutions that suggest appropriate conference rooms based on the number of people and efficiently manage power consumption.

Smart manufacturing, smart cities, and household appliances reflecting customer requirements were also mentioned. One home appliance manufacturer supplies coffee machines to consumers and hotels, and customers requested different coffee extraction methods depending on the type of coffee. Accordingly, Wind River provided a recipe method that allows adjustment of water temperature and quantity according to customer requirements, resulting in improved networking with the customer and helping to drive their business model.

IoT security was built using Intel's integrated IoT platform from the planning stage through service deployment. Supporting all operating systems (OS) including Windows, Linux, and Android, it performs scanning and monitoring to protect against threats. When security is vulnerable, the company supports updating applications to enable utilization of a new lifecycle.
