LG V30 Completes High-Quality Sound Adding Premium to Convenience
Published2017.08.28 16:14LG Electronics is setting out to captivate global music fans by adding unrivaled premium sound and convenience features to its strategic premium smartphone, the LG V30.
LG Electronics equipped the LG V30 with a Hi-Fi Quad DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) and perfected high-quality sound through collaboration with the renowned audio brand 'B&O Play'.
LG Electronics has enhanced convenience features to allow users to enjoy high-quality music tailored to their personal tastes and musical characteristics with a single touch. By analyzing the preferences of various global music experts to classify timbres and reverberations, the company further divided them by frequency and precisely tuned them.
With the 'Sound Preset' feature, users can select and enjoy four distinctive sound profiles—Balanced, Clear, Live, and Bass Boost—depending on their mood or preference. Each mode represents a representative sound profile most preferred by music experts, allowing users to easily choose and enjoy their desired sound just like a music critic simply by selecting it in the settings.
The 'Digital Filter' allows you to select a sound optimized for the music genre by adjusting even the reverberation, which is the echo of sound. Users can choose one of three options: ‘Spatial (Short)’, which increases reverberation to be suitable for appreciating the lingering resonance of acoustic sounds; ‘Clean (Slow)’, which minimizes reverberation to emphasize strong beats and bass such as rock or hip-hop; and ‘Natural (Sharp)’, which increases the balance of reverberation to be optimized for appreciating the soft melodies of classical or instrumental music.
The V30 supports the MQA (Master Quality Authenticated)4) standard, which enables users to enjoy high-fidelity audio streaming with minimal data usage. It is the first smartphone to support MQA.
The recording function is also being upgraded to capture the emotion of the scene exactly as it is, even in loud environments. Typically, sound distortion is common when recording with smartphones. LG Electronics is equipping the LG V30 with an auxiliary microphone feature in the receiver, which acts as the earpiece during calls, to record loud sounds clearly.
LG Electronics MC Business Division President Cho Jun-ho emphasized, “We will enable anyone to easily and conveniently enjoy LG’s unique premium sound, which is recognized by global experts.”

LG 생활가전, 구글 이어 아마존 에코 음성인식과도 연결해
LG전자 생활가전이 음성인식 인공지능 플랫폼을 계속 확장하고 있다. LG전자는 내달 1일 독일 베를린에서 개막하는 ‘IFA 2017’ 전시회에서 LG 생활가전을 아마존의 인공지능 스피커 ‘아마존 에코(Amazon Echo)’와 연동시 동작을 제어하는 것을 시연한다. ‘아마존 에코’는 아마존의 음성인식 인공지능 비서 ‘알렉사(Alexa)’를 탑재한 스피커다. LG전자는 앞서 지난 5월부터 ‘구글 어시스턴트(Google Assistant)’가 탑재된 ‘구글 홈(Google Home)’과 LG 생활가전을 연동시킨 데 이어 아마존 ‘알렉사’와도 연결시킴으로써, 더 많은 소비자들이 음성인식 인공지능 플랫폼을 활용한 스마트홈을 경험할 수 있게 됐다.
