Garmin Launches 360-Degree Action Cam for High-Definition Video
Published2017.08.30 13:12Garmin announced the launch of the VIRB 360, a multi-functional action camera capable of capturing vivid 360-degree videos in 5.7K high definition.
The easy-to-use Verve 360 is Garmin's latest action camera, capable of impressive high-definition shooting at up to 5.7K/30fps (30 frames per second) and perfectly capturing sound from all directions with its four built-in, high-sensitivity microphones.
As a differentiated action cam, the Verve 360 is equipped with a stitching function, which is an editing process that takes pictures in multiple directions and then stitches them together, and the captured video can be edited immediately or uploaded for easy sharing.
Additionally, the built-in GPS and various high-performance sensors provide users with customized G-Matrix data overlays in 360-degree augmented reality settings, allowing them to enjoy high-definition video and data simultaneously, providing more immersive video.
The Verve 360 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ANT+ sensors (speed, cadence, heart rate, etc.), and NFC (near field communication), and includes functions such as single capture, continuous shooting, and time-lapse in photo mode as well as video recording. Additionally, it supports a livestream function that allows users to post real-time recorded video to YouTube and Facebook via a smartphone or tablet to maximize their instantaneous experience.
The free downloadable Verb mobile app and desktop software allow you to edit, share, and add various data overlays to footage captured with the Verb 360. Convenient one-touch button controls include voice control options to start and stop recording, take photos, and more.
Featuring an easy-to-read display, the Verve 360 is waterproof to 10 meters without a separate housing and is ruggedly built to withstand extreme heat and humidity. A rechargeable battery capable of one hour of continuous recording is included, along with a uniquely designed tripod and handle. For those seeking immersive video, it's compatible with most VR headsets on the market and supports microSD memory cards up to 128GB.
