Thin, lightweight, and excellent AV performance

LG Electronics' strategic premium smartphone, the LG V30, was unveiled in Berlin, Germany on the 31st and received praise from the world's media.

It received rave reviews from visitors for having the thinnest and lightest design among recently announced 6-inch premium smartphones, as well as performance features such as a top-performing camera with an F1.6 glass lens, a 'Cine Video' mode that allows anyone to shoot cinematic videos, and high-quality sound from a Hi-Fi Quad DAC developed in collaboration with the renowned audio company B&O Play.

IT specialized media outlet The Verge praised the differentiated design, noting its sophistication and stating that it “possesses a beauty not seen in other smartphones.” Leading media outlet Cnet noted that “the V30’s design is sleek and smooth,” adding significance by stating that “LG has made a major mark in smartphone design this year.”

IT media outlet Mashable described it as “surprisingly light,” stating, “The V30 is so light that you find yourself tapping the back glass to see if there are any components or a battery inside.”


CNBC assessed that the LG V30 accurately grasped the demands of the market. The media reported, “Not only is it equipped with excellent specifications, but it also clearly listened to and understood the voices of consumers and incorporated everything they wanted.”

There was also a string of positive reviews regarding the camera features. The IT specialized media outlet Android Authority evaluated that it “elevated photography capabilities to a completely new level,” while Wired emphasized that it “captured the best range of camera functions compared to any other smartphone.”

IT specialized media outlet Engadget highly praised the video capabilities, stating that they “by far stand out” and that “even ordinary people, not just film directors, can create high-quality, movie-like videos with great ease.” The outlet predicted that “it is certain that the best smartphone of all time has been created,” and that “the V30 will bring about a change in the competitive landscape of the smartphone market.”

Meanwhile, approximately 700 IT industry professionals, including domestic and international media and mobile operators, attended the event held at the Maritim Hotel in downtown Berlin. The event was broadcast live worldwide via social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
