SAS Korea announced on the 13th "The SAS Platform" strategy, which integrates and optimizes the entire analytics lifecycle, and "SAS Viya," an AI-powered enterprise analytics platform that serves as its core engine.

SAS announced "The SAS Platform," which integrates and optimizes all analytical elements and technologies of enterprises across the entire analytics lifecycle, and presented standardization of analytics software required in the analytics economy era.

The SAS Platform, which includes both "SAS Viya" and "SAS 9.4," provides a foundation that rapidly derives insights from data regardless of computing environment and supports all stages of the analytics lifecycle (data-analysis-deployment). In particular, with enhanced artificial intelligence analytics capabilities, IT infrastructure can be flexibly applied regardless of data scale and velocity, problem complexity, or deployment strategy. Enterprises can efficiently manage not only SAS but all analytical assets and activities coded in other programming languages through the SAS Platform.

SAS Viya can process diverse new data sources including images, video, voice, and streaming data. It discovers hidden data patterns through innovative artificial intelligence analytics algorithms such as image recognition, deep learning, and natural language processing. Additionally, in the deployment phase, it supports analytics across various environments including edge, in-database, mobile, device, cloud, and on-premises.

In fact, numerous companies worldwide are rapidly creating value from data and accelerating innovation through SAS Viya. DirectPay, a Dutch credit management company, uses SAS Viya's advanced analytics models and visual interface to secure comprehensive information about delinquency cases and debtors, manages the entire analytics lifecycle related to credit investigation, diagnoses anomalies, and makes decisions. Additionally, the Social Services Department of New Hanover County in North Carolina, USA, easily identifies the causes of approximately 300 child abuse and neglect cases each month through machine learning and dynamic interactive visualization capabilities and derives in-depth analytical results.

Meanwhile, SAS was selected as the sole leader in Forrester Wave's 4th quarter 2016 Enterprise Insights Platform Suite category.
