Valmet Adopts Dassault Systèmes 3D Platform to Provide Automation Technology Services
Published2017.09.19 14:55Dassault Systèmes announced that Valmet, a global leader in the pulp, paper, and energy industries in Finland, has adopted the 3D Experience platform to provide cutting-edge automation technology and services.
Through this initiative, Valmet plans to enhance customer satisfaction by delivering more innovative and customer-centric experiences in customer service provision and sales generation processes.
Valmet will leverage Dassault Systèmes' industry-specialized solution "Single Source for Speed" to integrate and manage product development and order procurement processes across its service centers located in 30 countries worldwide. Through a digitalized collaborative environment, each department can expand visibility into products and services that must be included based on customer requirements, and can also pre-forecast resource demands necessary for project execution, thereby improving reliability and capability in customer process execution and expanding availability of raw materials and energy.
Furthermore, each department can maximize the utilization of internal technology and knowledge through smooth communication and can access in real-time digital unified product, component, and project information in a simple and secure manner. Additionally, by leveraging data analytics, enterprise search, and program management applications to efficiently reuse previously accumulated information, unnecessary and wasteful engineering work can be minimized.

Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks to Support Startup SG Robotics
Dassault Systèmes Korea announced that it has selected SG Robotics (http://sg-robotics.com/), a startup specializing in the development and manufacturing of wearable robots, as the first domestic company to participate in the global startup support program operated by Solidworks, a 3D CAD modeling application. The Solidworks startup support program was designed to help emerging companies implement their innovative ideas into actual products through Solidworks. The program is available to startups that have been in operation for three years or less, produce physical products that can be designed using 3D CAD, and do not currently own Solidworks.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
