ASUS announced the domestic launch of the RT-AC86U, a high-performance wireless router suitable for gaming environments.

The newly released high-performance wired/wireless router RT-AC86U is an AC 2900Mbps Wi-Fi router that features fast speeds and wide coverage.

The RT-AC86U boasts powerful speeds thanks to its dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Supporting speeds of up to 2166 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 750 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, it enables fast multitasking on Wi-Fi networks.

For even faster speeds, a 1.8 GHz dual-core processor and NitroQAM are used to boost Wi-Fi signals. MU-MIMO technology also maximizes network speeds for each connected IT device.

Beyond speed, it offers wide coverage for uninterrupted gaming or 4K video streaming at home. Signal transmission is enhanced with three 5dBi external antennas, ASUS AiRdar 2.0 beamforming technology enhances speed and stability, and ASUS Range Boost improves long-distance signal transmission.

This has improved the Wi-Fi signal in blind spots where the signal was not well received, and made it possible to use Wi-Fi even in places far from the router.

A fast and stable network like this is ideal for gaming environments with rapid scene transitions. The RT-AC86U is a model that was designed with the gaming environment in mind from the product planning stage, and is equipped with numerous gaming boost features that will enhance the satisfaction of game play.

Adaptive QoS automatically prioritizes game traffic over other network signals. The WTFast Game Accelerator reduces ping by an average of 30-60% and accelerates game communication speeds, ensuring smooth connection to game servers.

Additionally, we've installed commercial security software on our home wireless routers to provide a higher level of security. AiProtection, certified by Trend Micro, protects all connected devices, such as IoT devices, that don't have their own antivirus capabilities. Furthermore, if an infected device is detected, it immediately blocks any malicious transmission of confidential information to servers before it reaches the network.
