- Significantly improved smart device performance and integration through the application of High Efficiency Low Power (HELP3E) technology

February 22, 2012, Seoul – ANADIGICS, Inc. (Korea Representative: Kyung-Min Kim), a global leader in radio frequency (RF) solutions, today launched a new multimode multiband power amplifier (MMPA). The ALT6181 MMPA, a single-module solution, features ANADIGICS’ third-generation High Efficiency Low Power (HELP3E™) technology to provide industry-leading efficiency for quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band WCDMA/LTE mobile applications. This world-class performance and integration can extend battery life and reduce RF space requirements for mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, netbooks, and laptops.

The Anadigics multimode multiband power amplifier is optimized to achieve excellent performance for bands 1, 5, 6, 18, 19, and 26 in LTE, WCDMA, and CDMA signal modulation. Efficiency, power consumption, and linearity are improved for all modulations, and high-frequency, noise, and intermodulation performance are guaranteed for superior mobile phone performance. Anadigics' MMPA solution utilizes its patented InGaP-Plus™ technology and HELP architecture to achieve maximum efficiency at low- and mid-range output power levels without the use of DC-DC converters. When used in conjunction with DC-DC converters, the MMPA can achieve even more powerful performance.

The compact 5mm x 7.5mm MMPA features a single-ended RF chain independent of the voltage regulator. The built-in high-directional coupler ensures optimal system performance. The MMPA's GSM performance provides high efficiency at all power levels, and its EDGE performance meets stringent modulation mask requirements under all conditions.
