NVIDIA Hosts 'Deep Learning Day 2017' for AI Developers and Industry Professionals

NVIDIA announced that it will hold 'DEEP LEARNING DAY 2017', showcasing the latest artificial intelligence technology, for a total of three days from October 31st to November 2nd at the InterContinental Seoul COEX.
Deep Learning Day 2017 is part of the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2017, which is being held in major cities around the world this year. It consists of conference sessions where the most important technologies and cases in the AI field today will be presented, and the Deep Learning Institute, which provides practical hands-on sessions.
In particular, this event is expected to be a place where experts will provide in-depth explanations and share the latest technologies on each topic through five major tracks covering the fields that domestic industry insiders are most interested in: △Deep Learning △AI Smart City △Autonomous Vehicles △Healthcare △AI Startups.
In addition, keynote speeches given by Shanker Trivedi, Senior Vice President of NVIDIA Enterprise Business Unit, Dong-Myeon Lee, Director of KT Convergence Technology Institute, and Professor Byeong-Tak Jang of Seoul National University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering are expected to deliver key business insights in related fields.
Deep Learning Day 2017, held on an unprecedented scale in Korea, is open to anyone interested in deep learning, including industry professionals and GPU developers. Pre-registration for the conference, which will be held on October 31st, is available on the NVIDIA website (https://nvidiaevent.co.kr/). Participants seeking hands-on experience with the latest AI technologies can also register for the Deep Learning Institute, held on November 1st and 2nd, where they can freely attend hands-on sessions tailored to their interests.
The GTC 2017 World Tour will provide GPU developers worldwide with sessions on the latest computing technologies, including artificial intelligence, deep learning, autonomous vehicles, and virtual reality (VR), along with expert lectures, developer training, hands-on sessions, and various business opportunities. Beginning in Beijing, China (September 25-27), the event will then travel to six cities: Munich, Germany (October 10-12), Tel Aviv, Israel (October 18), Taipei, Taiwan (October 26), Washington, D.C. (November 1-2), and Tokyo, Japan (December 12-13).

독일 배송 트럭, 운전사 부족해 '엔비디아 자율주행' 도입
엔비디아가 우편 및 물류 전문 회사 도이치 포스트 DHL 그룹(DPDHL)과 자동차 부품 제조업체인 ZF와 협력해 2018년부터 자율주행 배송 트럭을 시험 도입한다고 밝혔다. DPDHL은 전기 소형 트럭에 엔비디아 드라이브 PX 기술 기반의 인공지능 자율주행 시스템(ZF ProAI)을 적용해 패키지 운송 및 배송 자율화를 추진할 계획이다.

NVIDIA AI Computer 'Supports Level 5 Driverless Autonomous Vehicles'
엔비디아가 뮌헨에서 (현지 시간) 10일부터 12일까지 진행되는 ‘GTC 유럽(GTC Europe)’에서 완전자율주행 로봇택시 개발을 위해 설계된 세계 최초의 인공지능 컴퓨터를 공개했다. 페가수스(Pegasus)라는 코드명이 부여된 이 새로운 시스템은 레벨5 자율주행 차량의 처리를 위해 엔비디아 드라이브 PX(NVIDIA DRIVE PX) AI 컴퓨팅 플랫폼을 확장한 버전으로, 초당 320조 회의 연산이 가능해 이전 버전인 엔비디아 드라이브 PX 2 대비 10배 이상 우수한 성능을 제공한다. 이에 따라 엔비디아 드라이브 PX 페가수스는 운전자가 탑승할 필요가 없다. 운전자를 위한 자동차 핸들, 페달, 미러도 없다. 또한 탑승자의 요구에 따라 목적지에 도착하므로 노약자와 장애인을 포함해서 모두 이용할 수 있다.
