Without investing in IaaS, it will be difficult to keep up with the competition.

Oracle announced that Korean companies' satisfaction with its IaaS cloud has increased significantly.

According to "You & IaaS: The News Generation," a quarterly survey conducted by Oracle on the current status and future adoption of cloud infrastructure (IaaS), 69% of companies said IaaS facilitated innovation, while 54% said IaaS excelled in speed and availability. These figures represent increases of 13% and 19%, respectively, compared to the previous quarter.

Korean companies believe that using IaaS has enhanced their competitiveness. More than half (54%) of companies reported increased productivity through cloud usage. Notably, 71% of respondents, or nearly three-quarters of all respondents, said that companies that do not invest in IaaS will find it difficult to catch up with those that do, a figure 4 percentage points higher than the Asia-Pacific average of 67%. This suggests that companies that have used IaaS view it as a necessity, not an option.

Additionally, Korean companies cited time and cost savings as advantages of IaaS. Seventy-one percent of companies reported that using IaaS significantly reduced the time required to deploy new applications and services, and 70% reported reduced maintenance costs.

Kim Hyung-rae, President of Oracle Korea, said, "This survey shows that companies' satisfaction with cloud use is increasing. “Companies believe that the cloud can not only increase productivity but also provide greater ROI by reducing time and costs,” he said. “Some companies that are reluctant to adopt IaaS should be aware that competing with companies that have adopted IaaS can be a threat in itself.”
