Infineon launches 650V diode suitable for high-speed switching

Infineon Technologies has launched the CoolSiC Schottky diode 650V G6 product family. The CoolSiC G6 diode provides high reliability, quality, and efficiency and complements the 600V/650V CoolMOS 7 product family. It meets current and future requirements for server and PC power supplies, telecom equipment power supplies, PV inverters, and more.
The CoolSiC Schottky diode 650V G6 product family adopts a new layout, new cell structure, and new Schottky metal system. It achieves a VF (1.25V) and a Qc x VF FOM (figure of merit) that is 17 percent lower than previous generation products. Additionally, by using SiC, it exhibits switching operation independent of temperature and does not require reverse recovery charge.
These products also provide improved efficiency and high system power density under full load conditions. Therefore, the CoolSiC Schottky diode 650V G6 reduces cooling requirements, increases system reliability, and enables high-speed switching. Furthermore, as a SiC diode, these products offer the best price-to-performance ratio.

Infineon Launches New OptiMOS Linear FET Series
Infineon Technologies has launched the OptiMOS Linear FET series. The new product family combines the excellent on-state resistance (RDS(on)) of trench MOSFETs with the wide safe operating area (SOA) of planar MOSFETs, resolving the trade-off between RDS(on) and linear mode functionality. OptiMOS Linear FET can operate in the saturation region of enhancement-mode MOSFETs. The OptiMOS Linear FET series is suitable for hot-swap, e-fuse, and protection applications commonly used in telecommunications and battery management systems (BMS).
