Teradata and GE Aviation announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership to provide analytics-based solutions for the world's leading airlines.

Through this partnership, GE and Teradata plan to jointly provide products and services to the global commercial aviation market. The strategic partnership includes providing market-responsive solutions, as well as joint marketing, sales, service, and support between the two companies.

By combining GE Aviation’s operations, assets, and networks with Teradata’s customer intelligence, sales and marketing, and back-office support, companies can more easily build, scale, and use the entire ecosystem.

For example, Teradata can manage the customer experience, and GE can proactively manage flight disruptions. In addition, through integrated solutions, innovative management processes can be more fully implemented by adding information on parts inventory and logistics management, as well as scheduling and personnel management. This combined solution delivers powerful business results, ranging from improved flight operations and predictive maintenance to enhanced customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Through this partnership, GE Aviation’s Digital Solutions business unit is providing industrial applications based on Predix, GE’s platform for the Industrial Internet. This edge-to-cloud development platform connects engine, aircraft, and operational data to provide actionable real-time intelligence before analyzing continuous data streams.
