Sharing events held with approximately 100,000 citizens in 7 cities including Suwon, Yongin, and Gwangju
Local citizens and businesses walk together and share a culture of giving

On the 21st, Samsung Electronics held the 'Samsung Sharing Walking Festival' at Gwanggyo Lake Park in Suwon City in cooperation with Suwon City to promote a culture of health and sharing.

The 'Samsung Sharing Walking Festival' operates on a '1+1 Matching Grant' system, where Samsung Electronics donates an equal amount to be used as a fund for welfare projects for every 5,000 won paid by participating citizens; local citizens, Samsung Electronics employees, and their families participate. The funds raised are delivered to local Community Chests to be used for the benefit of the local community.

A total of about 13,000 citizens participated in this event and walked a 5km section around Gwanggyo Lake Park. Play facilities for children were installed in the middle of the section, and souvenirs, bottled water, and snacks were provided to all participating citizens.

The approximately 130 million won raised this time is scheduled to be delivered to the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea.

The 'Samsung Sharing Walking Festival' is an event held in collaboration with local governments in regions where Samsung Electronics has business sites; starting with Gwangju and Yongin on September 23, it continued in Hwaseong on the 14th,
It will be held in Onyang and Gumi on the 28th, and in Pyeongtaek on November 11th, with a total of about 100,000 people expected to participate.

Lee Sang-hoon, President of Samsung Electronics’ Management Support Office, said, “Starting this year, we have expanded the Samsung Sharing Walking Festival, which was previously held in Yongin, Hwaseong, Gumi, and Onyang, to include Suwon, Gwangju, and Pyeongtaek,” adding, “I thank the citizens who participated in this warm sharing for their neighbors.”
