Job Matching System connects job seekers and companies online in advance

The “2017 Leading Korea, Job Festival,” a government-wide job fair hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and sponsored by the Jobs Committee, will be held at COEX on November 20.

As of the end of October, the recruitment scale of participating companies is 1,078 people. Some companies, such as Midas IT and Daewoong Pharmaceutical, have adopted blind recruitment to select the best talent most needed by the company, free from academic background and qualification requirements.


The feature of this event is that, in order to solve the problem that general job fairs only allow job seekers and companies to meet once and do not lead to actual hiring, it applies an AI-based competency test and a “job matching system” for the first time in the country to connect job seekers and companies online in advance and conduct interviews at the level of final interviews on the day.

An official from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, which is organizing this event, said, “This job fair will introduce ‘small but strong companies where young job seekers can realize their dreams’ and provide small and medium-sized enterprises with the opportunity to secure excellent talent,” and urged companies and job seekers to show great interest and participate.

He also stated, “We will strengthen support so that mid-sized companies, which serve as the reliable backbone of our economy, can lead the creation of good jobs.”
