ASUS Launches Xtion 2 for 3D Motion Recognition Development

Currently, the main topic of the IT industry is technology that combines reality and virtual environments, such as augmented reality, 3D scanning, and VR. ASUS Xtion 2, released by ASUS, is a motion recognition camera that can be used in various fields such as 3D scanning, education, medicine, and robotics.
The greatest strength of Xtion 2 is its simultaneous recognition of RGB and Depth. High-resolution RGB allows for images up to 5MP (2592x1944) resolution, and the Depth sensor for motion recognition supports a resolution of 640 x 480 @ 30 FPS, providing significantly improved detection performance through more precise motion recognition.
ASUS's unique technology has improved space utilization by implementing a compact size of 110x35x35mm. In addition, it is convenient to install as it does not require a separate power source as it is operated via USB 3.0, and its low power consumption also increases efficiency.
It provides an optimal development environment based on ASUS Xtion2 and provides a flexible OS development environment including Win 8/10, Linux, and Android. It is compatible with OpenNI 2.2, so you can enjoy 3D sensing-based technology in retail, education, medical, entertainment, etc. through ASUS Xtion2.
The Xtion 2 consists of a camera body, stand, USB cable, support CD, and manual. The included stand can be firmly fixed with simple joint adjustments, allowing for motion capture without shaking.
It can be easily used by general users through recognition of three-dimensional shapes of objects and 3D motion recognition, and the Windows facial recognition function allows logging in without a separate password, making it easier to access and use Windows.
